The Boy I KnewBrought to his house, it was almost instantaneous. It seemed strange, as I recalled meeting him before, once upon a time. Climbing up the stairs, he wrapped his fingers around mine, and led me down the steps. In the cool of the basement, we talked about times that had happened, yet I didn’t remember. We laughed and spoke gently, slowly crawling towards each other on the couch. At some point he opened up a sketchbook…or a photo album? There were drawings of me, and him, sketches of characters from films and video games, and pictures of candy stores I remember once.

Then he kissed me.
